Our First Anniversary!

It's been an entire year! HOORAY! We still love each other!!!! haha. We really do, and I'm so glad we were able to celebrate together! We went out to eat at The Old Spaghetti Facotry at Trolley Square. It was fun. They gave us these boxes for our leftovers, and the decorated them! :) We had a little fun!

Why is there a baked potato in my purse?? haha. Just kidding. It's just the leftover bread from dinner.

The morning of August 6th, yesterday, we went and did sealings at the Jordan River Temple to celebrate! We were with a group that was so glad to have us. Which was a plus! :) I hadn't done sealings for the dead before, but I'm glad we did. And I plan on doing it much more in the future.
Of course, we had to eat our frozen top layer of our wedding cake. But I was so full from the dinner we ate right before, that I only ate one bite. But I'll be having more in a few moments. It was pretty yummy!

YUMMERS!

Fun things we {LOVE}

Well this is kind of a silly post. But, again, we've done some fun things and wanted to share them. :) So we went to a Raptor's game, and had some stinky seats...so we left early. And got a 5 dollar slushie thing on the way out. It wasn't worth it. Oh well, good times!

I did a scrapbook day with Kristin again and did this cuuuuute picture that mom took of me and Rachel this past visit I had to Arkansas/Indy. This was at David's t-ball game. And it was too cute to pass up for a scrapbook page. This is now my other favorite page I've done. I love it!

Well, one day Steve and I had to go on campus and we passed the one place we used to walk by all the time. And then there was this STRRRRANGE piece of art. But when we looked at it long enough, all we could think of was "SEUSSICAL!!!!" So we HAD to take pictures with it because it was so wonderful! And i'm so glad we're going to have it on campus to walk by it all the time!

Have a good one! :)

I'm gettin' my creative on!

Well, I've kinda been scrapbooking alot lately trying to experiment with new techniques and learn new things... by making many mistakes. heehee. I always get so down on myself because I can't think of any layouts or ideas that are original. So I got a new scrapbook, and I decided it would be my experimental book where I would just go for it and try anything I wanted to try...and learn!

So tonight, I went for it!
And I made my most favorite-est-est page I have ever done in my life! I'm so excited! So I just wanted to show everyone the page I did, and I'm so excited I'm learning...even though I'm making mistakes. :)

Random thoughts...

Well, these aren't necessarily in order, but they are events that have occurred in just the past little while. They are all wonderfully exciting in their own ways! :) So here is our ever-increasingly exciting life!

We went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was truly wonderful, and soooo beautiful! And we got to see the Jordan River Temple while we were there, just down the hill. I'm so glad we had the chance to go!

Our voluntary Young Woman photog said she'd get the whole temple in. I guess she forgot how in the heat of the moment...

We went to a murder mystery party with Steve's sister and some of her friends. We had alot of fun! It was 50's style, so we got to dress up! I was Miss Kansas City, a beauty pageant winner. And Steve was Johnny Angel. Turns out, Miss Kansas City was the murderer! EEPS!

We went to one of Dallin's last T-ball games! They had a TONS of fun, I could totally tell. And Steve got this PERFECT picture of Dallin while he ran to first base. He has suuuuch a huge smile as he ran! I love it! I wish I knew how to crop it...maybe Monica can work her magic with it. It'd be sooo cute up close!

So on the 4th of July, Steve took me to the place he usually goes to to see the fireworks. Weber High...his old high school. (Or the bomb shelter, as he calls it. It has like only 2 winders in the whole school.) So we went, and Steve's sister and some of her friends came with us too. We went early to get a good spot to sit, and took phase ten to play. While we were playing, some loser high school kid was running backwards to catch a frisbee. Apparently he didn't realize that there were a few hundred other people there besides him.
My back was toward him, and he TOOOOTALLY trampled over me, and like, kicked me in the kidney. So this is a poor attempt to take a picture of my bruise...but my camera kiiinda stinks. It was much yellower than the picture shows.Speaking of my stinky camera...
I'm COMPLETELY ASTONDED with how well this picture came out, since I took it with MY camera. haha. But it was a beautiful sunset, and the flag had the perfect amount of breeze to make a cool picture. So I tried, and was pleasantly surprised! :)
Have a wonderful week!
I love my country! WOOOOO!!!

Catching Up! (cont.)

Well after many attempts to upload pictures and finally achieving success, here's some more pictures. :)
A few weeks ago, we had an awesome thunderstorm and it hailed! It was the best thunderstorm since I've lived in Utah! But it was sooo short. But I had to get a picture of this hail since storms are so rare.
Here's my haircut. I like it alot! So much easier to do and take a lot less time!

Alright. So it's storytime...
Our bed is king size. And since we've lived in this apartment, the only thing that fits in our bedroom is just the bed and the nightstands. I've HATED having our dresser in the other room. It's not that far away, but it really just bugs me!
Lately, Steve and I have been talking about pushing the bed into the corner so the dresser could fit. So while Steve was at work on Friday, I got really ambitious and started to clean out the bedroom so we could rearrange when he got home. Well I finished cleaning it out around 3, and he doesn't get home until 6. So I was thinking, "I'll just do it myself. No biggie."
Yeah, uh, soooo I CLEARLY did not help them move the bed IN when we moved into the apartment...but I extremely underestimated the weight of the mattress. I started to slide it off the boxsprings, and I was fine. Then I tried to lift it and lean it on the wall so I could slide it into the living room to move it. That was the moment I realized what I mess I got myself into. Niiiice...
I also wore myself out so much trying like, five times to lift the mattress, that I couldn't slide it back onto the boxsprings. So I just left it where it was until Steven got home. haha.
And I made quite a mess out of the living room when I cleaned out the bedroom drawers and under the bed.

Well those are our most exciting endeavors lately. Enjoy! :)

Catching Up!

Well we've gotten a little behind on our blogging. But a few exciting things have happened.

The other day, Steve took me on a picnic. We bought lunchables and string cheese, and brought our capri suns! It was fun, and perfect weather. It was a little sprinkly, but we found a cute little gazebo type thing to sit under in the park we went to.
Yum yum! :)

There's kind of a picture of my haircut. But I'm going to post other cuter ones in a moment.

So for Christmas, Steve's grandparents got us an Amaryllis growing kit in a box. Kind of random, and we kind of forgot about it until a little bit ago. So I decided to plant it, and I thought it was too old to grow. But just when I was about to lose hope, I saw a tiny green leaf peeking out at us! So here's 2 progress pictures so far.
It seems like it has sort of stopped growing, but there hasn't even been a flower yet. They even have a chart on the box that has the progress it should be making around which weeks. And I feel like it should be just starting to flower now, but it's just leaves. But it does look just like the pictures on the box..

There will be more updates and pictures to come, but blogger is being lame and really slow. So it will come in pieces.
